Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, Quentin Tarantino’s latest movie is a love letter to the Hollywood of 1969.
The story is set at the time of the Manson Family murders which claimed the life of 6 including Roman Polanski’s wife, Sharon Tate played beautifully by Margot Robbie.
It is rife with period details and easter eggs from the era and is essentially a buddy movie between the ageing tv star Rick Dalton, played by Leonardo DiCaprio and his stunt double, Cliff booth, played by Brad Pitt.
Rick is a lead actor in a western series whose career is on the skids. His best buddy and stunt double Cliff is there to pick up the pieces.
Both Leo and Brad shine in their roles lovingly caressed by Tarantino’s camera, showcasing each movie star to their photogenic and charismatic best.
A loving recreation of old Hollywood set against Los Angeles landmarks from the era, Once Upon A Time is a movie not to miss.
